TGEU, ILGA-Europe, and IGLYO Send Letter to German Ministers

On 19 March 2021, TGEU, ILGA-Europe, and IGYLO sent a joint letter to three German Federal Ministries working on the legal gender recognition reform process.

The letter follows up on a previous communication where we were informed that the political opinion-forming process inside the German government regarding this topic had not yet been finalised. 

We urge the German government to take action before the end of the legislative period and to bring forward a proposal based on human rights, self-determination, depathologisation, and compliant with children’s rights.
